After years in their respective areas of the home building, purchasing and real estate industry, President, Wiggs Thompson, and Vice President of Construction, Travis Tedder, knew they could provide interested clients with a world class level of quality homes. As such, Cadence Construction was created.
Wiggs and Travis work diligently to ensure that every aspect of your new home is held to the highest of standards. From the materials used in the building process, to the beautiful interior details, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that Cadence Construction is taking care of your brand new home.
With an extensive background in the real estate and home building industry, Wiggs Thompson brings a great deal of experience and professionalism to Cadence Construction. His ethical and highly analytical method to business has proven beneficial for not only Cadence Construction, but also LP Building Products, Regions Bank, Wachovia Bank and other well known banks in the Southeast.
During his time as a commercial real estate lender, Wiggs Thompson focused primarily on home builder finance, acquisition, and development lending. His career then took him into the manufacturer sales field, where he sold building materials to home builders and dealers.
Drawing off of his previous positions and career opportunities, Wiggs decided it was time to begin his own venture in the home building area. Upon partnering with Travis Tedder (Vice President of Construction), Cadence Construction was born.
In his position as President of Cadence Construction, Wiggs places a strong emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. In addition to his position at Cadence Construction, Wiggs is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT). During his time on the Board of Directors, he has worn many hats including the President of the Associates Council in 2013, Associate of the Year in 2013, and currently as a local director.
Wiggs has been a Middle Tennessee resident since 2005 along with his beautiful wife Melanie and son Brayden.
Travis Tedder of Cadence Construction began his career in the construction industry in 1999. While working in Tallahassee, Florida, Travis worked on and managed a foundation and framing crew. Later on, he moved into the position of punch man. As he continued his career, he became an estimator/superintendent.
In 2006, Travis moved to Franklin, Tennessee and began working at Ford Custom Classic as a superintendent, and was later promoted to Senior Builder. This position allowed Travis to oversee and build hundreds of homes and town homes in the top neighborhoods throughout the Franklin area, including Westhaven, Canterbury, Carlise, Ladd Park, and several others.
Throughout his career, Travis built up an impressive and extensive professional network of renowned subcontractors. Drawing upon this network and his background in the construction, buying, and building industry, Travis knew that Cadence Construction was the perfect opportunity.
Travis has lived in Middle Tennessee since January 2006 with his wife Amy, and children Luke, Georgia and Lilly Kate.
After completing his college education in the areas of Political Science and Civil Engineering Ed began his career as a Field Engineer Assistant. During his time in this area Ed gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of project management, land surveying, project estimating and Auto CAD.
After his years of focus in the Civil Construction industry, Ed transitioned his career to the area of commercial/residential construction. In 2012, he began working as a superintendent for a construction company in Florida that specializes in the design, construction and restoration of multifamily and master planned development projects throughout the United States. From Florida Ed moved to the Nashville area and worked as a Superintendent for a homebuilder in the Williamson County.
